Goldilocks and the Three Bears 3/18/14

We had a fun week reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The kids all thought that Goldilocks was such a funny character. How she ran around jumping on the furniture and eating all the bears food. We got to sing the rooster song during singing time and it was the greatest thing to watch all the kids get so into it. It was so much fun!
For the activity, I put together a sensory bin that had objects that were hard or soft and had the kids sort through the bin. We talked about the different objects and had the kids put the soft ones together and the hard ones together.
I made porridge for snack time, to go along with the book, most of the kids were not fans of porridge. They ate their raisins and drank their water but only a couple actually ate their porridge. It must have been too hot :)

We made bear puppets for the craft. It was fun to see the kids put their personalities into the craft. They wanted certain eyes and drew their mouths certain ways. They turned out so cute and the kids had a lot of fun playing with them.

For math, we graphed marshmallows and talked about which numbers are greater or smaller than other numbers.

The kids all did a great job during centers working together and playing.
